The Pug & The Sewing Basket

Hello there.  I'm MA-kytah and I am hosting today's blog for Miss Kay.
She love, love loves to shop at the thrift store in Landstuhl, Germany.
And when she finds something that grabs her............. well she grabs it.
Today she was a bit late taking me and Shady on our potty run because she was thinking about what she was going to do with her latest Thrift Shop Find.
It's a wicker sewing basket.

Oooooo Weeeee
Doesn't that green velvet scream
1970's
Aside from a ding in the wicker
this sewing basket was in pretty good condition and Miss Kay had a vision of how she was going to do a makeover.

There were some sewing notions still inside.  Miss Kay will definitely use them.

Shady and I did get to our potty run and morning feedings and then Miss Kay spent the rest of the morning working on her thrift shop find.
Take a look at it now.
She used burlap to re-upholster the lid

Check out how all Miss Kay's sewing supplies fit into the top tray.  Well trust me this is not "all" of her sewing supplies. There is more but these are the ones she uses the most.

The bottom of the basket is for the crochet piece she is currently working on.  Do you like the sweater I am wearing?  Miss Kay crocheted that for me and one for Shady because we are Pugs from an island and this German weather is just to cold for us.

Hope you enjoyed today's post.
Pug Hugs to all of you.

China Cabinet Thrift Shop Find

I am so inspired with how other bloggers post their thrift shop find and how they give their pieces a new life.
The transformation is fascinating and so I found this cabinet in the Baumholder Thrift Shop
I have to make a mental note to take a photo of the pieces I find before I start working on it.
But basically this is a cabinet that I wanted to re-do into a China cabinet for my "Made In England" China I have been collecting from thrift shops here in Germany.

I am so pleased with the results.
 Hugs,
Kay
